An annual plant native to the Americas. What is commonly called the flower of this plant is actually a large cluster of flowers at its head. Its appearance is distinctive: a large brown center with bright yellow petals mimicking a typical "sun" shape. It is famous for usually facing toward the sun, and its seeds are a popular snack.
