Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, the third Pokémon anime series, loosely based on the games Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
Ash Ketchum, Pikachu, and Brock travel to the Sinnoh region, where they meet Dawn, a novice Pokémon Coordinator. Ash also forms a rivalry with Paul, a cold, calculating Trainer whose philosophy directly conflicts with his.
