ak-74
The AK-74 is a Soviet-designed 5.45x39mm assault rifle, developed in 1974 by Mikhail Kalashnikov at Izhevsk Mechanical Works. It is an updated version of the more famous AK-47, and more than half of its parts are interchangeable with the older weapon. It is most easily distinguished from its predecessor by its brown plastic magazine and its distinctive muzzle brake/flash hider.
