bokujou monogatari
A multi-system farming simulation video game series. The player moves onto an abandoned or inherited farm and must rejuvenate their new hometown.
Most well-known in the West as Harvest Moon (1997-2013), when it was distributed by Natsume. In 2014, Natsume lost the license to the series, and as the rights to the Harvest Moon name in the West is owned by them, the series renamed itself to Story of Seasons outside of Japan.
The video game series Rune Factory is a spin-off of the Bokujou Monogatari series; taking the game elements of Bokujou Monogatari and combining them with fantasy RPG game elements.
